About Us

Training Talks was created by Joanna Bloxham, a brand communications specialist with expertise in both corporate and leisure sectors. A successful career with Air Canada, United Airlines. Lufthansa and Radisson Edwardian Hotels (where she was sales and marketing employee of the year 95, 96,97) created the perfect background to develop her course portfolio. Communication plays a vital role in all our intervention, ie what you say, how you say it and how you look and behave.


In addition to our retained experienced people, we also work with a group of qualified associate trainers and facilitators:

Joanna Bloxham

Presentation skills, leadership, communication, team working and customer care are the core training courses within Joanna's training portfolio. Joanna designs and specializes major training and facilitation initiatives for companies including Atos Origin, Octagon, Jack Morton, Carey England, Workplace Systems and Radisson Edwardian Hotels. Joanna managed a long-term assignment with the Congestion Charging project which included customer care, and leadership training - and - is another key example of her ability to see a training project through from brief to final implementation.

A successful career with Air Canada, United Airlines and Radisson Edwardian Hotels, where she was Sales and Marketing employee of the year three years in succession, created the perfect template for Joanna to launch her learning and development company Training Talks. Joanna has a global portfolio, including assignments in Singapore, Montreal (McGill), New York, Chicago and Fontainebleau (Insead) and Cambridge (Girton College).

Joanna understands the needs of her audience and delivers with energy and enthusiasm, to promote interaction, participation and encourage a lively learning and development environment.

Joanna's special skills include her self-awareness and self-management coupled with her ability to build relationships. She is an excellent communicator, a bright and perceptive operator and has a sense of humour that carries her through all potentially difficult situations.




David Jones

David has over 20 years' experience of training and coaching in some of the world's leading multinational organisations. After first working in market research, helping clients assess the impact of advertising campaigns and corporate communication on target audiences, an interest in interpersonal communication led to a move into learning and development in his mid twenties. He initially worked on helping managers and professionals develop their influencing style and negotiate with colleagues and business partners. Working for multinational clients in Europe and Scandinavia he developed his expertise in intercultural diversity and the impact it has on the way individuals and teams work. David now specialises in helping people communicate in their professional lives and trains and coaches people at all stages of their career.

Training Talks works with David to facilitate team growth and awareness using psychometric instruments such as MBTI to give an understanding of how personal diversity impacts on behaviour and how each team member can best contribute to team performance.




Lee Moone

Lee Moone is a highly experienced actor, scriptwriter and role play artist with a passion to move people forward. Lee trained at the Birmingham School of Speech and Dramatic Art and enjoys full Equity status.

Lee's talent and expertise lies in his ability to bring a pragmatic approach to the commercial world by producing scripts that relate to actual business scenarios and making these authentic by assuming appropriate character roles for his audience to decipher.

Training Talks works with Lee to facilitate role plays and to develop individuals and teams to become more self aware and recognise that assertive behaviour and communication matters.

Lee has worked with leading brands including Rolls Royce, Toyota, Volkswagen, Deloitte, BP, Network Rail in the following areas: appraisals, diversity, customer care, leadership, teambuilding and facilitation skills.

Jenny Lloyd Lyons

Jenny is an experienced communications trainer/facilitator with a passion for helping people find their individual voice and ability to use their talking skills most effectively. A professional drama training supports her approach to 'rehearsing' and expressing the best possible delivery style. Also experienced in appraisal training she can help managers build confidence in their teams by providing techniques to delegate effectively and give constructive feedback.

Jenny's training embraces the service profit chain model - building individual strengths leads to increased job satisfaction, which in turn leads to increased productivity which keeps the clients happy and so leads to increased organisation loyalty and profits. Interactive team building - based on agreed objectives - can be a powerful catalyst to overcoming obstacles and enhancing effective team working. Having worked in the public and private sectors she is aware of the challenges that different cultures can impose and has a proven track record of helping motivate teams to increase service improvement.

Training Talks works with Jenny to enhance communication workshops with her professional drama expertise and voice coaching techniques that are second to none.




Sue Brown

Accredited Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, Time Line TherapyTM Practitioner


Sue has a passion for people, by nature she is caring and understanding. Her professional background is in the travel industry in sales, marketing and customer service. The fast pace of the travel industry has given Sue an ability to work with change and to embrace the new opportunities it offers. Moving from travel to coaching is a natural progression for Sue as both involve moving clients from one place to a chosen destination. Of course, this must be carried out as smoothly and as seamlessly as possible. Over recent years the travel industry has had to adapt quickly to change and to new working practices..

Change comes easier to some people than others and Sue is not someone to shy away from change. Working with you she will help you to get the life you want and to move quickly into the new thought processes that will make it very easy. Her approach to coaching is with complete dedication, the client is paramount.

As your Coach she will give 100 percent commitment, this added to your commitment to your goals will get you the results you wish for. In coaching, Sue uses the natural fit between being an Accredited Coach, an NLP and Time Line TherapyTM Practitioner to help you to reach and exceed your goals or outcomes. Coaching provides the agenda for what you really want and NLP and Time Line Therapy to identify and remove past negative emotions and limiting beliefs.

Dan Bloxham

Dan Bloxham, Head Coach of The All England Club, is one of the country's leading exponents in the teaching of youth sport and motivation. He is currently spearheading the biggest outreach tennis programme in the UK - the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.

Dan has an engaging, spirited style and this combined with over 20 successful years of coaching expertise positions him as a valuable resource for the Lawn Tennis Association, British Tennis Coaching Associaton, Youth Sport Trust, and The English Speaking Union.

Team Building for Business

Highly energetic and inspirational, Dan applies the disciplines of tennis to increase team motivation levels to realise winning potential through interactive sessions.

Training Talks involve Dan's high energy to spark teams into action, recognising that cohesive effort makes for a winning formula. He is one of the four Ambassadors for Sport for Tesco alongside Frank Lampard, Jason Robinson and Paula Radcliffe with whom he works throughout the year crossing into other sporting codes. Separately Dan has worked with Nike, Dunlop, Fred Perry, Club Med and The Roehampton Club.
